CEO change at Jena-Optronik GmbH: Our long-standing CEO, Dietmar Ratzsch transfers his responsibility at Jena-Optronik GmbH to the hands of Peter Kapell, who took over the position at the Thuringian space company by October 1st, 2019.

“The fascination of space started for me 50 years ago, when the first human set a foot on the moon. Since then the topic is all around me. I was allowed to develop, manage and guide space technology from Jena over the last 17 years and I am grateful for that. With my retirement I will start a new chapter in my life. I would like to thank you for the spirit of trust in our cooperation! Furthermore I am pleased that we were able to transfer the position to space experienced Peter Kapell as the new CEO for our company“, Dietmar Ratzsch.
